Ideating With Innovation Patterns
The concept of Innovation Patterns was developed by 2ndEdison as a way to supercharge the brainstorming process. An ideation session using Innovation Patterns simply yields better, more consistent results.
“Innovation Patterns” are innovation case studies that serve as useful analogies when developing new ideas. You can use the ideas and innovation patterns showcased on this site to stimulate new ideas of your own. To get started, read one of the case study posts and associated Innovation Pattern and then use the Sparks as “thought starters” for how to think about your problem, product, market or business differently. Generate as many ideas as you can and then when your energy slows, select another case study and start again. This will keep you stimulated and ensure that you are generated new inspired ideas, instead of the same old ideas over and over again.
2ndEdison has developed an entire methodology which employs innovation patterns as stimulus for ideation. If you would like 2ndEdison to help you with ideation or to learn more about how to harness the power of innovation patterns in your business, please contact Chris Bradley directly at email@example.com or call 925.253.1002.
